If I am going to die tomorrow | Motivation

August 16, 2017
be yourself

It was 1 am and I couldn’t sleep, perhaps I slept too early…I am not so sure, funny huh! You know what happens when you can’t sleep in a quite night, you can’t hear anything moving or any noises around (okay, I heard a dog from afar) but you know what I could hear loud and clear? My thoughts! Yap, you read that right!

So, I decided to observe my thoughts as they come and go, some of them made sense so I kept them in my mind for a while and those that didn’t I simply pushed them away and observed them as they fade. Then this strange thought hit me, I was tempted to let it pass but then I decided to see what my inner self had to say about it “if I am to die tomorrow”.

I asked myself if I could die a happy person, with a smile on my face that says “I lived”! well, as funny as it may sound I saw myself dying with anger, sadness and sorrow…my eyes were watery, I realized if I am to die tomorrow then I am going to die unsatisfied person, with a lot to regret!

Chances I didn’t take, things that I should have said but I kept my mouth shut, things that I shouldn’t have said but I did anyway… so I made a decision, if I am to die tomorrow then I am going to do the following today;

gratitude - If I am going to die tomorrow | Motivation

I am going to love with all that I have, after all if I am going to die tomorrow then am going to take with me the love that I gave this world and not otherwise… so I am going to love and mean it, I am going to love everyone around me, it’s only love that can make all the difference in the world, love is the most powerful weapon ever existed on earth.

Today I am choosing love above anything.

If I am going to die tomorrow then today I am going to be kind, I am going to be kind enough to understand people I come across. Kindness can be the only thing that can save a person regardless of their actions. Kindness can heal!

If I am going to die tomorrow then today I am going to live with hope, I am going to spread hope around me! A simple smile can indeed show a person some hope for a better tomorrow…

I am going to live with a gratitude heart, I am going to be grateful for everything and everyone…I am going to appreciate every single thing and everybody today…for every person and everything I come to path with is a blessing….

If today were my last, then am going to give and give…am going to put value to everything I do, I am going to put value on my words, I am going to put value on my actions…I am going to serve with a grateful heart for only by giving you can receive… I will do good hoping good to come back to me tomorrow!

If I am going to die tomorrow then I want to die a happy person, a heart full of love and a soul full of satisfaction.

JS 🙂

I get pissed when I can’t sleep and my mind won’t shut up. I am so grateful for this post, I know we sometimes forget that we won’t live forever. Kindness is a beautiful thing, it is more of a legacy… people won’t remember your pretty face, they will remember how you made them feel. Asante Sana Jane😍😍

That’s a good way to live your day to day life to the fullest! I try to be a positive person but as we all know life happens and sulking and filling yourself with negative thoughts or feelings can drain you out!! even for days. It’s crazy to think that one day a life can be easily taken away sometimes without warning!

My crazy insomnia gives me sleepless nights where my mind goes on overtime.I like this. We only have one life to live. Let’s make it the best it can be!

Oh my god! I absolutely love this post! I have nights like this too and I am right there with you. My life long goal is to be happy and to bring happiness to those around me. I don’t believe there is any other way to live life. I know if I died tomorrow I would feel like I could have done more, but I am working my way toward happiness. Life is too short to not live it happy! I really enjoyed this post. It touched my heart! Good for you!

I hate those nights that I can’t sleep. Life can be short, so always best to think of the positives. I need to start listening to positive daily motivational podcasts. Do you listen to any that you can recommend? 🙂

I usually listen to a book early mornings with some positive messages. You can check out Krista Tippett: on being, really good.

Very strong post, these thoughts can really cure you from the everyday routine life. In the end, what is the most important? Not how much money you earn or how many followers you have, but people you love and who loves you back. It is very important to be kind and spread love around you.
